Pearlie attended Bowman High School in Wadesboro, North Carolina. She attended New Grove Baptist Church and confessed Christ at an early age. She retired from The Raddison Hotel in High Point, North Carolina where she worked faithfully for over 13 years and at Raybestos of Marshville, North Carolina for numerous years.
Pearlie Mae Sturdivant was united in holy matrimony with Bobby Houston Hunter on January 22, 1970 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Their union was blessed with three children.
She loved devoting her time to family and friends with loving with her whole heart taking in and feeding anyone that needed it.
Mrs. Pearrlie Mae Sturdivant Hunter departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Houston Hunter; one son, Bobby Mario Hunter; both parents: Jasper Sturdivant and Pearline Lee Sturdivant; three brothers: Jasper Jones Sturdivant, Roy Lee Sturdivant, and David Lewis Sturdivant; and 11 additional siblings.
She is survived by her two children: Rochelle Hunter Clark (James) of the home and Everette Hunter (Nettasha) of Wadesboro, NC; nine grandchildren: Jacquesa Braddy (Tahlisha), Patrick Williams, Cameran Williams, Everette Hunter Jr., Nana Twyman, Serenity Hunter, Christopher Hunter, Antonio Pate, and Jeffery Sims; 17 great grandchildren; eight siblings: Alberta Leak (Fred) of Wadesboro, NC, Josephine Collins (Roy) of Richland, GA, Sylvia Allen (Mike) of Wadesboro, NC, Marion Lauderdale (Emmanuel) of Wadesboro, NC, Freddie Sturdivant of Wadesboro, NC, Nelson Hamilton, Arlene "Penny" Hall, and Beverly Huntly; Goddaughter, Donielle Miller; her special friend, Gary Baldwin; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members who loved her dearly.
