Peggy Briggs, born September 16, 1955 to Uldric and Constance Merchant, passed away at the UVM Medical Center on July 10, 2025. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Peggy was the loving mother of Robert "Tommy" (Erin) Briggs, Jr and Melissa (Bennett) Fay and Mema to her grandson Josiah and grand dog Diesel. She also leaves behind her friend and father of her children Robert "Tom" Briggs Sr, her long time friend Paul Jankowski, her siblings, Janice Roberts, Marie Pope, Uldric "Rick" (Margaret) Merchant, Donna (Monte) Harrington and Nancy Alger, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was predeceased by her parents, beloved father-in-law Robert H. Briggs, beloved niece Tasha Searfoss, nephew Chad Merchant, brother Charles "Butch" Reuschel and many other loved ones.
If you knew Peggy, was to love her and her you. When she loved you, you were family, and she would move heaven and earth for you. She was a strong, independent, stubborn, woman who loved with her whole heart and always let you know where you stood.
Per Peggy's wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Mom, While you may not be physically here, you will always be with us. We won't say goodbye, only see you again. We love you totally and endlessly.
