Funeral services for Peggy Perritt Coleman are Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
Mrs. Coleman, 83 years old, died on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Carroll Co. She is a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church, M.E.A., T.E.A, N.E.A., and Delta Kappa Gamma. She taught school for 30 years for McKenzie Special School District. She was born on January 20, 1942, in Dresden, TN to John and Mary Johnson Reaves.
She is survived by her daughters Sherry (Joey) McGee of Huntingdon and Lisa Coleman of Palm Springs, CA, a son Chris (Joy) Coleman of Paris, a sister Wanda West of Silver Springs, MD and brother Cecil Reaves of Trezevant, eight grandchildren Jennifer Perritt, Clayton (Stefan) McGee, Katy (Cody) Knuutila, Jayden McGee, Hayley McGee, Hasadiah Coleman, Noah Floyd and Hadassah Coleman and seven great grandchildren of Porter, Micah, Noah, Rylee, Eva, Stone and Riggs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Perritt and after her death her husband Dennis M Coleman, her son Jeff Perritt, a daughter Jennifer Coleman two sisters Gladys Brethaver and Adell Skinner, five brothers Eugene Reaves, Joe Reaves, Bobby Reaves, Jerry Reaves and Charles Reaves, and a grandson Michael Floyd.
