Perry Allen Eddings, a devoted family man and cherished community member of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the age of 66. Born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on Sunday, August 10, 1958, Perry led a life defined by his love for family, commitment to hard work and his care, concern and compassion for his family and others.

Perry was the beloved husband of Marcia Eddings (McCartin), and the proud father of daughters Sarah Meyer and Lindsey Churchill (Ryan). He was a magnificent P-Paw to his grandchildren Mason Meyer, Remi Meyer, Braxton Churchill, and Braylee Churchill, who were his greatest joy. He relished every opportunity to spend time with them, whether taking his oldest grandson fishing or being the loudest cheerleader at their games.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aulton Eddings Sr., his mother, Barbara Eddings,(Ferguson) and by his brother, Aulton D. Eddings, Jr. Besides his immediate family, Perry leaves a legacy of friendship and respect among many in his community.

Perry dedicated many years to Colgate-Palmolive in Jeffersonville, where he built lifelong friendships and achieved significant professional milestones. Outside of his career, Perry was passionate about sports, enthusiastically supporting IU Sports and the Indianapolis Colts, and was a well-regarded expert in horse racing.

a connoisseur of bourbon and beer, Perry enjoyed sharing a laugh and a drink with friends and family, leaving behind memories filled with warmth and good humor that will be dearly missed.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Perry's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Garr Funeral Home, located at 7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana, 47172. Interment will follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests commemorative donations be made to Down Syndrome of Louisville (5001 S Hurstbourne Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40291).

Dearest Perry, you have always been loved by our family. You are a special man with a wonderful caring positive attitude. You never gave up and we all know you´ve had many challenges in this life. You leave behind a fabulous legacy with your devotion to your family and community. You will be missed by many, especially your loving family. I pray for comfort for their grieving hearts.
