Phebe Cambata Obituary

She was born September 5, 1930, in New York, New York, the daughter of the late Albert Delman and Alma Fleisher Delman.
She was married to the late Kershi Shiavax Cambata. Together they built a life that spanned continents. She lived in India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. A true adventurer at heart, Phebe's travels took her from Uganda, where she marveled at the gorillas; to the Arctic, where she witnessed the white harp seal pups – just two among the many safaris and journeys she so passionately undertook.
Phebe was also a dedicated philanthropist. She served on the Board of the Shenandoah National Park Trust and devoted much of her energy to animal advocacy. Supporting the Wildlife Center of Virginia was one of her greatest passions, reflecting her lifelong love of animals.
She is survived by four children, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her beloved German Shepherd, Zeke.
A private funeral service was held.
