Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne and James Adams; and his sister, Lena Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Poole Adams; two children, Gary (Bobbi Jo) Poole and Jon Wesley Adams; three grandchildren, Austin Poole, Garett (Jordin) Poole and Kaylie Poole; a great grandson, Gunner Poole; a special niece, Angela Laslie; and a special nephew, Alvin "Ooner" Thompson, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Revs. Tom Bridge and Rick Judd officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky or to New Highland Baptist Church Cemetery.
