Phyllis Sipes Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
On November 24, 1976, Phyllis married W. James Sipes in Centerburg, Ohio. Together they shared 37 wonderful years of marriage.
Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Centerburg. She was a music booster, OCCL – Mother's Club, and longtime AMVETS Post 95 Auxiliary President and Life Member. Phyllis enjoyed reading and watching sports. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sibling and friend. Phyllis is deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Stephanie (Jim) Dial; son, Darrin (Peggy) Perkins; grandkids, Nathan (Mary) Shepard, Tre' (Emmie) Dial, Jeannae Dial, Kayla Geiger, Makenzie (Brad) Bishop, Kohl Perkins; sisters, Jeanette Updike, Maxine (Clyde) Neighbarger, and Linda (Gordon) Houck; brother-in-law, Jack Welker; stepdaughters, Tara Anderson and Tina (Kelly) Wright; 42 great-grandkids and 15 step-grandkids.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, W. James Sipes; sister, Ruth Welker; brothers, Kenneth and Richard Fling.
A Visitation will take place on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a Funeral Ceremony starting at 12:00 Noon, at Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. A graveside service will follow at Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg, Ohio.
