Pruda M. Setser, 101, of Versailles passed away at 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. She was born at Hazard in Perry County, Kentucky on July 2, 1924, the daughter of Kelly and Erasta Stidham Day. She was married to Ernie Setser and he preceded her in death in 1992. Survivors include one granddaughter Tiffany (Chris) McGhee of Trenton, Ohio; three great-grandchildren Ricky, Brittany, and Riley, and 2 great-great-grandchildren Royce and Kinadee; one sister Pauline Hart of Versailles. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sons Dale and Gary Setser, grandson Shawn Setser, her great-grandson Dustin Setser, brothers Harlan, Dale, Joe, and Tom Day, and her sisters Lillie Mae Hisle and Mary Ellen Thieman. Pruda worked for several years as an OR nurse at the McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, Ohio, sharing that her training was studying and taking a test to become a nurse. She enjoyed her large extended family, quilting and sewing. Pruda was known for her kind demeanor and sweet personality. She was a member of the Versailles Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 12 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pruda's nephew Randy Thieman officiating. Burial will be in the College Corner Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. Memorials may be given to the Activities Fund at Ripley Crossing or the Versailles Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
