Quincy J. Evans, 35, of Scranton, PA, passed away tragically on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024 after being struck by an automobile on Providence Road in Scranton.
Born July 16, 1989 in Scranton, he was the adopted son of Josephine Edwards Evans of Carbondale, and the late Robert M. Evans, Sr.
Quincy grew up in Carbondale and attended Carbondale Area High School where he was a member of the football team. He also attended the Peckville Assembly of God Church. Quincy deeply loved his daughter.
He is survived by one daughter: Aryonni; seven siblings: Quentin Reeves-Herbert, Quentasia Reeves-Herbert, Naesha Reeves, Robert Evans, Jr., Amanda Merrigan, Veronica Evans and Bruce Evans; an aunt: Cheryl Spears; as well as several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his birth mother: Desiree Reeves; grandmother: Leanora Reeves; grandfather: Bobby Leonard Reeves; aunt: Michelle Bowens-Reeves; uncle: Leonard Reeves; a niece: Jaiya Dimoh; and a nephew: Frederick Stinnard.
The funeral was held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with Rev. Terry Drost, officiating. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Pallbearers: Carl Merrigan, Robert Evans, Matthew Stinnard, Bruce Evans and Josh Burcavage.
Friends called Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 3-6 p.m.
