Ralph Biscardi Obituary

As a young man, Ralph joined the United States Navy serving as a Navy Hospital Corpsman earing the National Defense Service Medal. Upon discharge from the Navy, Ralph earned a bachelor's degree in education from Trenton State College. Ralph became a school teacher with the Pemberton Township School District, teaching middle school math and science for 33 years. He spent his summer breaks tending bar at the Surf City Hotel. In conjunction with his teaching career, he actively served his community as the Bordentown Township Mayor and member of the Bordentown Township Committee. Upon retirement, he served as a member of the Southern Regional Board of Education.
He further served his community as a member of the Freemasons, Rotary Clubs of Bordentown and LBI, The Elks and The Friends of the Long Beach Island Library. Ralph also had a longstanding passion for music, playing the trumpet and drums in marching bands and entertaining at various events. In his leisure time, he enjoyed relaxing on the beach, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Biscardi, children Mary Jo Brown and her husband Frank, Christine Biscardi Smith, Michele Ross and her husband Kerry, along with his grandchildren Andrew Smith and his fiancé Sydnee Leopardi and Dylan Smith.
A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 13th St. & Long Beach Blvd, Surf City, NJ 08008. Cremation was private and under the direction of Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 12th. St. & Blvd., Ship Bottom.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Service Organizations (USO), P.O. Box 96860, Washington, DC 20077 in Ralph's memory would be appreciated.
