Ralph Eugene Schnegg, 92, of Martins Ferry, passed away Sunday, July 6th, 2025, in Wheeling Hospital. He was born on December 26, 1932, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Cloyd and Katherine (Hertler) Schnegg. He was a lifetime member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Brookside, served his country in the U.S. Army during Korea, retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Martins Ferry Plant after 42 years of service, was a member of SOAR, enjoyed gardening, and was an avid fan of the Martins Ferry Purple Riders football and basketball and the OSU Buckeyes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Wilma (Smith) Schnegg; a daughter, Jeanetta Schnegg; a sister, Dorothy Funari; and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Schnegg; and a sister, Viola Weaver.
Friends may call Friday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 pm in the Funeral Home with Pastor Nancy DeStefano officiating. Burial will follow in Upland Cemetery, Yorkville.
