Ralph L. Shultz, Jr., 76, of William Penn Highway, Henderson Township, Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. Born March 29, 1949 in Huntingdon, he was the son of Ralph L. Shultz, Sr., who survives, and the late Mary L. (Grace) Shultz. He was united in marriage to the former Deborah S. Gurtner on July 24, 1999, at the Gazebo at Treasure Lake, Dubois. Mrs. Shultz preceded him in death on December 23, 2022, after 23 years of marriage.
He is survived by two children, Travis Shultz of Mill Creek and Mary Jean Shultz and companion, Matt Myers, of Mifflintown; a daughter-in-law, Darcy Shultz of Mifflintown; eight grandchildren, Taylor Shultz, Cole Brown, Katelynn Myers, Mason Shultz, Jaylin Brown, Curtis Shultz, Matthew Myers, Jr. and Dylan Shultz; and three great-grandchildren, Delilah Rose Sheeder, Ellie Brown and Braxton Kauffman. He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Fleck and husband, Thomas, of Huntingdon and Judy Reed and husband, James, of Huntsville, AL.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Shultz, on July 2, 2022.
Ralph was a member of the Mill Creek United Methodist Church, where he served as a former Evangelical Alliance chairperson.
He was a member of the Mount Moriah Lodge #300 F&AM, Huntingdon, where he served as a past master, the Standing Stone Royal Arch Chapter #201, Huntingdon, where he served as a former high priest, the Huntingdon Commandery #65 Knights Templar, where he served as a past commander, and the Jaffa Shrine.
Ralph was a 1967 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School and attended Lafayette College, Juniata College, Penn State University, and Kansas State University.
He was employed as a project manager for Dean Foods.
Ralph loved going on cruises with his beloved wife, Debbie, and had been on more than fifteen cruises during his lifetime including the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Cuba.
At the request of Mr. Shultz there will be no public viewing. Friends will be received from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon. A masonic memorial service will begin at 10:45 A.M., immediately followed by the memorial service at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, June 7th, with the Reverend Patricia Shope officiating. Private interment will be in the White Church Cemetery, Penn Township, Hesston.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of Ralph L. Shultz, Jr. may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children c/o Processing Center, P.O. BOX 863765, Orlando, FL 32886 or to the Mill Creek United Methodist Church, P.O. Box K, Mill Creek, PA 17060.
