Ralph E Whittet of French Settlement LA passed away on February 19 2025. He was born in Shawnee, OK on June 19 1948 to O.B. and Wanda Whittet. He attended Putnam City High School where he was a member of the Pirates wrestling team. He then enlisted in the US Marines. Ralph was a Vietnam veteran and a proud American. After serving his country he came home and started his career in sales. He moved to Louisiana where he met his love and best friend, Pamela Sanchez Whittet. They were married on May 27, 1989. He loved golfing and fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Pamela Whittet, her children, Johnny Gascon (his son Brandon and daughter Sydney), Stacey Gascon Fontenot (her husband Christian and son Blake) and Ralph’s son Walter (Hawk) Hawkins (his wife Renee and daughter Lauren),a brother Steve Harbour (wife Ramona), sister Gay Martin (husband John), sister Lyne Ann Hays (husband Phil), sister Ann Hughes (husband Jack), sister Susan Goss (husband Mark), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father OB Whittet, stepmother Ruth Whittet, mother Wanda Bennett, and brother Harold James (Happy) Whittet.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
