Ramon Gonzalez, 76 years of age, was called home on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in a Corpus Christi hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Benavides, Texas on August 31, 1948, to his parents Alfonso Angel Gonzalez and Aurora Garza Gonzalez. He was a graduate from Benavides High School class of 1965; he then began his career working in the oil field industry for various companies until his retirement. Ramon was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed spending time at home. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Angel Gonzalez and Aurora Garza Gonzalez.
Ramon is survived by his daughter, Cecilia Gonzalez of Benavides, Texas; three sisters, Aurora (Delfino) Chapa, Josefa Hernandez, Elma Gonzalez; three grandchildren, Justin (Melissa) Rivera, Joe Michael Saenz Jr., Melanie Aurora Saenz; great grandchildren, Mavis Michelle Rodriguez, Jace Alexander Saenz, Justin Patrick Rivera Jr., Nayeli Kamille Rivera, and Erick Alexander Ramirez; numerous nieces and nephews.
