Randy L. Higgins, 76, of Wooster, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, after a brief illness.
Randy was born on Aug. 27, 1948, in Alliance to Howard and Virginia (Stewart) Higgins. He graduated from Norwayne High School in 1968 and served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1970 having served in Vietnam. On Jan. 11, 1980, he married Debbie Yerian and she survives. Randy retired from Bekaert Corp in Orrville after over 30 years of service and had enjoyed fishing with his brothers and gardening.
Surviving is his wife, Debbie; son, Billy Higgins of Middlebury, CT., daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Chad Sponaugle of Wooster and Kelly and Chris Watson of Palm Harbor, FL; 7 grandchildren, Brooke, Brevin, Autumn, Zachary, McKenzie, Paisley and Abigail; sisters and brothers, Sandy and Chuck Marquess of Akron, Gary and Peggy Higgins of Apple Creek, Bonnie Whitmyer of Wooster and Davy and Char Higgins of Orrville; sister-in-law, Debra Higgins of Auburn, IN and nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers and sisters, Gerald, Ralph and Charlie Higgins, Cheryl Shedd and Pamela Brown.
Services will be Monday, July 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may all Sunday, July 20th from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in care of Murray Funeral Home.
