Randy Kent Marple, 69, of Jane Lew, WV, was welcomed into his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the United Hospital Center, following a brief illness.
He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on July 17, 1956, a son of the late Kyle and Sue Long Marple.
He was married on August 12, 1977, to Linda Jean Allman Marple, who resides at their home in Jane Lew.
He is also survived by one son, Seth Marple and wife Tracy of Jane Lew; and six grandchildren, Rylee Morrison, Adam Marple, Ava Morrison, Amelia Marshall, Levi Marshall and Wyatt Heater. He also leaves behind his brother, Roddy Marple of Jane Lew and his son-in-law, Brent Heater.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin Marshall-Heater; sister, Robin Marple, sister-in-law, Cathy Marple, and son-in-law, Benjamin Marshall.
Randy was a graduate of South Harrison High School class of 1974 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from West Virginia University. He retired from Southern States as the General Manger with 43 years of service.
Randy attended Fellowship Bible Church where he loved working in the children's nursery. He made many good friends while working at Southern States, but above all he adored his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jim Whittaker presiding. Interment will follow in the Broad Run Cemetery.
