Funeral services for Ray Miller are scheduled for Tuesday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Craddock Memorial Chapel with Buddy Norman officiating.

Raymond "Ray" Eugene Miller, Jr. was born November 18, 1936 to Lois (Kennedy) and Raymond E. Miller, Sr. in Ryan, OK. He passed from this life on September 22, 2025 at the age of 88.

Ray graduated from Midwest City High School with the class of 1955. He married Lenora Winfield on March 17, 1964, in Ardmore, OK.

Ray was a third-generation barber, working alongside his father and grandfather from a young age. After moving to Ardmore, he and his family operated Broadlawn Beauty Salon for many years. During that time, he frequented the bakery next door in search of something sweet and there he found the sweetest treat of all, his wife of 62 years, Lenora.

Following his years as a barber, Ray worked at the Michelin tire plant before he and his family purchased land and started a dairy operation in Dickson, OK. In later years, he and his wife owned Millers Mercantile in Springer, where they enjoyed making many new friends.

After his love for family, Ray's greatest love was horses. He loved trading horses with his son, David, making trips to the East Coast and making many lifelong friends along the way. Ray had a deep love for a good horse and studying their pedigrees. His love for horses lives on, in the legacy that he left in his children and grandchildren and now great grandchildren. He loved coon hunting as a younger man. He was an animal lover, from Chickens to dogs to horses. Ray also had a remarkable knowledge of many things. Just when you thought he couldn't possibly know about a subject, he would surprise you with insightful information.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lois Miller.

He is survived by his wife Lenora Miller of the home; daughter Tammy Elmore and husband Kelly of Springer, OK; son, David Miller and wife Lisa of Alba, TX; daughter, Kelly Norman, and husband Buddy of Springer, OK; granddaughter Kelsey Patterson and husband Kyle of Springer, OK; granddaughter Kasee Naylor and husband Ian of Ardmore, OK; grandson Kolby Miller and wife Lena of Alba, TX; granddaughter Rylee Murray and husband Bryce of Ardmore, OK; grandson Brady Norman and wife Deryn of Springer, OK; grandson Garrett Elmore and wife Katy of Shepherd, TX; grandson Blue Norman of Valdosta, GA; grandson Dusty Norman and wife Jordan of Lone Grove, OK; granddaughter Jaci Stephens and husband Lance of Texarkana, TX; grandson Brent Wells of Bentonville, AR; sister Mareta Davis and husband Cliff of Ardmore, OK; brother John Miller and wife Brenda of San Antonio, TX; 11 great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Kolby Miller, Brady Norman, Garrett Elmore, Blue Norman, Kyle Patterson, Bryce Murray, and Ian Naylor.
