Ray Donald Shroyer, 80, of Cumberland, MD, passed away July 6, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland.
He was born November 21, 1944 in Mount Savage, MD. He was the son of the late Grace Shroyer. In addition to his adoptive mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronny Mallory; and a sister, June Folk.
Ray had a career as a custodian for the Allegany County Government and worked at the courthouse and emergency dispatch center. He loved playing softball, hunting, and fishing.
Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Theresa Ann Shroyer; two sons, Donald Shroyer and wife Ellen, Shawn Shroyer and wife Carrie; grandsons, Corey Shroyer and wife Brittney, Logan Shroyer and fiancée Emmahley; and a great-granddaughter, Oakley Shroyer; and his extended family including nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary W. Barkley officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, MD.
