In Loving Memory of Mr. Raymond Lee Young (79) and Mrs. Beverly Johnson Young (76)

It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Raymond Lee Young and his beloved wife, Mrs. Beverly Johnson Young, both of Naples, Florida. Beverly passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 76, and Raymond followed her on July 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Their love story spanned more than five decades, a testament to enduring partnership and devotion.

Raymond was born on March 9, 1946, in Miami, Florida, and graduated from Miami Central High School. Beverly was born on June 23, 1949, and was a proud graduate of McArthur High School. The two were united in marriage on July 8, 1967, and celebrated 58 years together before Beverly's passing earlier this year.

Raymond dedicated his career as a lineman with Florida Power & Light, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to keeping the lights on-literally and figuratively-for his community and family. Beverly spent her professional years serving in the IT department for the Dade County School Board, always curious, resourceful, and eager to support students and staff alike.

Beyond their careers, Raymond and Beverly shared a rich life filled with simple joys. He loved fishing, cooking, and tending to his garden, while she found peace in quilting, reading, and appreciating the beauty of nature. Together, they built a home rooted in love, laughter, and strong values.

They are survived by their loving son, Duane Lee Young; three cherished grandchildren-Alyssa, Brandon, and Chloe; and Raymond's sister, Merilyn.

A celebration of both their lives will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Fuller Funeral Home East Naples. They will be laid to rest together at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM, honoring their deep bond and lifetime of love.

Together in life and now together in rest, their legacy will continue in the lives of those they touched with grace, kindness, and strength.
