Rebecca “Bekki” Elliott, 72, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Cherry Point Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A gathering of family and friends to honor Bekki’s life will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Sunday, June 8th at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock.
Bekki was born on March 16, 1953, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Andrew Thompson Elliott and Hilda Bivings Elliott. She had a sister that passed away at a very young age.
Bekki graduated high school and did have some college courses under her belt. She worked several different jobs throughout her life. However, her work in the healthcare industry is what she was most proud of.
Bekki was Wiccan. She believed that we came from the earth and to the earth we shall return.
Hekitty was Bekki’s most sassy yet beloved cat. She had her for over 16 years and took her passing hard. She eventually adopted another cat, Stax, and she enjoyed his company until she became sick. Bekki was a moderator of a website helping people with their cats and she built a shelter in a bench for the stray cats in her apartment complex.
Bekki was also an avid reader. She had a mini library in her home and a kindle to keep her company on doctor trips. She loved to sit on her porch at night with the animals outside. Bekki was a person who enjoyed the simple things; a cup of coffee, a good conversation with a friend, anything homecooked bonus points if it was a dessert.
Bekki is survived by her 2 sons and their families, Andrew Elliott his wife Kayln Elliott and their 2 boys Briggs and Wells Elliott, and Richard Lierman his wife Kari Sherman and his daughter Erin Freeman.
Bekki had many other friends and loved ones both locally and around the world that loved her. She made an impact on many people and her presence will be missed in many ways.
Blessed Be!
