Richard "Rick" A. Dietrich, age 75, of Lake Village, Indiana passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024 at home. Rick was born on August 29, 1948 in Berea, Ohio, the son of Verner and Ethel "Betty" (Detrick) Dietrich.
Rick retired from Ford Motor Company where he was an electrician. He served in the United States Army and was a proud member of the American Legion and the NRA. Rick enjoyed spending his time tinkering in the yard, wood working, driving his golf carts, watching his purple martins, western movies and shows, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sandra (McGraw) Dietrich; his children, Michelle "Shelley" (John) Rayson, Shawna (Ryan) Johnson, Sheila (Chris) Robbins, Michelle (Darren) Wilson-Hartman, Becca (Tom) Marks and Bill (Missy) Wilson; his 15 grandchildren, Zane, Olivia, Jacob, Jared, Emily (Christian), Sophie, Katelyn, Justin, Lindsay, Gabe, Hannah, Fayeth, Billy, Eli, and Leila; and great-grandchild, Rowan. Rick is also survived by his sisters, Janice (David) Cicerchi and Sheri Bales.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Ricky Palguta, and brother Ernie Dietrich.
Family and friends may visit at Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm with a funeral service promptly beginning at 1:00 pm. Private interment at the Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Purple Martin Conservation Association, 301 Peninsula Dr Ste 6, Eerie PA 16505
