Richard Hohlfelder Obituary

Richard L. Hohlfelder, 73, of Woodville, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo. He was born on January 20, 1952 to Edward A. and Dorothy E. (Burkett) Hohlfelder in Fremont, OH. On July 22, 1985 he married Debra Cable in Woodville, OH. Dick and Debra raised 2 children and celebrated nearly 38 years of marriage together, until Debra's passing in 2023.

Dick, worked as a lineman 30 years for the Village of Woodville. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing or grilling. Dick also enjoyed NASCAR and shooting pool. However, his favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Dick is survived by his children: Jeremiah (Donna) Hohlfelder of NC, Danielle Hohlfelder and Jamie Schmeltz of Woodville. Grandchildren: Christian, Fayth, Quinton, Wayne, Daniel and Shealin. Brothers: Warren (Shirley) Hohifelder of OR, Denny (Connie) Hohlfelder of Gibsonburg and sister, Nancy Potter of Gibsonburg. In addition to his wife Debra, Dick was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry A. Hohlfelder and infant sister, Sharon Hohlfelder.

Dick will be laid to rest next to Debra in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH.
