When Richard and I were about 10-11 years old, we were too young to stay at home on New Years Eve by ourselves. Aunt Helen and Uncle Ernie invited us to share New Years Eve with them. So, we went over to their house on Hiller. Richard and I were relegated to the kitchen. The adults ate in the dining room and Richard and I ate in the kitchen. We would play the War card game with 3 decks of cards. It took us hours to finally determine who the winner was. This became a NYE tradition for 3-4 years and in all that time I don't think I ever won.
I wish we could play that game again. I will miss you. Rest in peace until we meet again.

I am especially sad that Rich passed last week. He was a good friend and we worked together at H&S sharing many stories of our field trips. He will be missed by us all.

My prayers go out to Rosie and the family. I had the pleasure of working with Rich (and Rosie) at Horsburgh and Scott for many many years. As the administrative assistant for the field service team I worked directly with Rich and the field service 'gang'. The field service team was a small and closely knit group. Rich certainly played an integral role part making this one of the best experiences during my tenure at H&S. To the family who knew him best and loved him most always cherish your memories of him. His passing will leave a void that cannot be filled. Rich will be missed by many.
