He was the son of Frances (Eschuk) and Grover Bucholz adopted by Elaine and Victor White.
Dick was a 1957 graduate and outstanding athlete at Perry High School. He owned his own construction business in Perry, building and working with his community for 35 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, his Friday "lunch bunch", golfing, winning at Bridge and Euchre and all things Spartans.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Sandra Kay White and his three children Pamela (Greg) Wilson, Richard (Michelle) White II and Meredith (Peter) LeBaron, his 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by both his biological and adoptive parents and his biological brother Grover Meyers.
A memorial service will be held Sunday July 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Perry Nazarene Church, 3100 Elsworth Rd. Perry. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, July 26, 2025, 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes 214 S. Main St. Perry and Sunday from 1-2pm before the service, at the Perry Nazarene Church in Perry, MI.
