Rickey Lynn Richardson Graveside service for Rickey Lynn Richardson will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pocasset Cemetery in Pocasset, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, OK. Rickey was 62 years old. He was placed in the hands of Jesus on July 27th, 2025, in Chickasha. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Eugene (Gene) Richardson; father-in-law, Dale Ford; his grandparents; and other extended family. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Richardson of the home; mother-in-law, Alice Ford; his children: Ericka, Daniel, Sharene and husband Elza, Rickey, Ashley and husband Christopher; siblings: sister Rhonda and husband Robert, sister Kathy and husband Glenn, and sister-in-law Shelly and husband Matthew. His grandchildren: Haley, Zac, Taycee, Torance, Braylee, Karson, Gracie, Brooklynn, Nay Nay, Austin and Matthew. Great-grandchildren: Cooper and Creed. And many other extended family and friends. Rickey was born to Bennie Eugene (Gene) and Joyce Fern Richardson on January 23rd, 1963. He married Brenda Reed in 1981 during this marriage they had two children Ericka and Sharene. He later married Sherri Bogle and they had a son Ricky. He met Cheryl Ford in 2013 and they married. He worked for the railroad as an engineer for 32 years and eventually became a private investigator. He was a volunteer firefighter and was vice president of Oklahoma missing people official where he helped locate 100s of people. Rickey was an avid OU fan, and he had a sense of humor that could light up any room. He was a true character, but behind all of the jokes was a heart as big as the sky. Rickey would give the shirt off his back without any hesitation. There was nothing in the world that Rickey loved more than his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and the most loving Papa his grandchildren could ever ask for. Not only did he have a huge impact on his family's lives, but on everyone he came in contact with. Rickey will be missed deeply.
