Rita Gail Bolen, 63, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at her residence. She was born August 13, 1961, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to Marvin and Rosa (Burchett) Hill. She married Paul James “PJ” Bolen on July 29, 1994. He preceded her in death April 10, 2020.
Rita was a graduate of Bellevue High School in Ohio. She worked several jobs over the years until she retired in 2014. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and interior decorating. She enjoyed life and loved laughing and telling jokes. She loved her family, especially her grandkids.
Rita is survived by her mother; her daughters, Nicole (Michael) Thomas and Heather Carroll; stepchildren, Staci Orem, Terry Bolen, Sheri (Robert) Hutcheson, and Glen Bolen; brothers, Mark Hill and Daniel (Gina) Hill; a sister, Beverly (Jimmy) Marlin; five grandchildren, Corbin Thomas, Hayden Pratt, Login Pratt, Mahtix Thomas, Marshal Thomas; eight step-grandchildren; great-grandchild, Payton Thomas; and several step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Michael Hill; grandchildren, James David Bolen and Jarett Chase Bolen; and great-granddaughter, Alissa McGill.
