RITA M. JANKEE, age 75, of Thorp, WI, formerly of Greenwood, WI, passed away at Turner Integrity Care in Thorp, WI on Saturday, February 22, 2025. A memorial service will be held at Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood at a later date.
Rita Mary Martini was born on October 6, 1949 in Marshfield, WI to Gottlob and Edna A. (Hotarski) Martini. She was raised on her family's farm and received her education in the Greenwood area, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1967. After graduating from high school, Rita worked at Thorp Finance in Thorp, then later at Land O' Lakes in Spencer, WI, and her last job was a pharmacy tech at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI until retiring due to poor health.
She had many interests, but especially enjoyed riding horses, snowmobiling, spending time with her family and friends, and she had a passion for the animals at the Clark County Humane Society.
Rita is survived by one brother, Kenneth (Susan) Martini of Owen; one nephew, Michael (Christie) Martini; two nieces: Sarah (George) Gorman and Laura (Brandon) Edblom; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, Rita's family asks that donations be given in her name to the Clark County Humane Society.
