Obituary of RL Banks
RL Banks (69) of Millville, NJ passed away peacefully at his home the morning of April 26, 2025. Born on June 2,1955 in Dandridge Tennessee, he spent most of his life in Millville NJ.
RL is survived by his wife Elaine, of whom he spent more than 20 years with. He is also survived by his children Christine Banks (Damon), Milinda Banks (Bud), Valerie Lisman (Dave), RL (the boy) Banks (Ashley); Bonus Children: Karl Kaetzel (Sue), Dawn Kaetzel (Carmen), Eric Kaetzel (Dawn Blake), Sheila Lirio; Siblings Peggy Banks (Rick), Ronnie Banks (Rhiza); many nieces and nephews. There are numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren shared between RL & Elaine.
RL is predeceased by his parents Anna Mae Hamrick (William), Garfield Banks Sr.; siblings Maxine Welsh, Rodger Banks, Arnie Banks, Garfield Banks Jr., and bonus children Monica Kaetzel, Timmy Kaetzel.
RL was a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge 2488. He worked as a Maintenance Mechanic at Riggins Oil Company until his retirement in 2023. Prior to Riggins, RL worked in construction for most of his life. After his retirement, he spent his time tinkering in his garage, listening to music, helping people, going out to eat and most of all being with his Baby Girl. RL also enjoyed having his children and grandchildren around and would help anyone with anything; if it could be built, he knew how to do it, and had a tool to build it with. He was a man of many talents, but building and fixing things was his specialty.
RL will be missed dearly by all who knew him, especially by his wife and children.
