Bob was born in Akron to the late Donald and Ann Burns and lifelong area resident. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1981 and went on to work in the trucking industry. Bob loved spending his free time fishing, hunting and watching sports.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother Don and sister-in-law Lisa Burns. He is survived by his children Bobby and Sydney Burns; siblings Rebecca Burns, Mark Burns, and Melissa (Pat) Petit; sister-in-law Terri Burns; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 12Noon to 1PM at the Anthony Funeral Home-Akron Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron, where celebration of life will be held at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank via https://www.akroncantonfoodbank.org/.

I was a friend of Bobby in grade school all the way through high school and college. We had too much fun. I hope the rest of your life was just the same. RIP Bobby.
