Robert Dressel Obituary

Age 92, of Malvern, passed away Sat., June 28, 2025. He was born Jan. 10, 1933, in Greenford, OH, a son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Davies) Dressel. Bob retired from Kent State University-Stark as a Professor of Mathematics and was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by his brother, William Dressel, his nephew, Richard Dressel, and his grandson, Max. Survived by his wife, Linda Dressel; his daughter, Keri (Dave) Browne; his son, Greg (Donna) Dressel; his stepdaughter, Heather (Scott) Anthony; his stepson, Brian (Caryn) Reynolds; his nephew, Donald (Therese) Dressel; and eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Hospice of Ohio for the excellent care they gave to Bob. A Celebration of Life will be held Wed. at 11am in St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Bruce Roth officiating. The family will receive friends two hours before the service, from 9-11am, in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, 4600 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44718. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
