Robert Patrick Fenton, 70, of Prudenville, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Robert was born on May 10, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Catherine (Anger) Fenton. He grew up in the Detroit area, where he graduated from Churchill High School in Livonia. Robert was an Assembly Line worker for General Motors. He moved from Novi to Prudenville in 2000. On May 2, 2015, in Prudenville, Robert was married to Vivian C.Tomes. He was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church and the St. Helen Council #8390 Knights of Columbus, where he had served as a former Grand Knight. Robert enjoyed being outdoors, kayaking, camping, golfing, and going to watch the Detroit Tigers. He was also dedicated to going to all the grandchildren's activities and sporting events. This was his special love: spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.
Surviving Mr. Fenton are his wife, Vivian Fenton of Prudenville; daughter, Sarah (Anthony Ciaramitaro) Fenton of Houghton Lake; son, Christopher (Christa Witfoth) Fenton; two granddaughters, Jasmine, and Sierra; three grandsons, Andrew, Wyatt, and Dylan; stepdaughter, Kaitlyn Yarger of Scottville; four stepsons, Thomas (Gail) Yarger of Blissfield, Eric Yarger of Clearwater, FL, Brandon Yarger of Prudenville, and Kyle (Sharee) Yarger of Onsted; two step grandsons, Logan, and Finnegan; three step granddaughters, Leah, Jemma, and Payton. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Patrick Fenton will be conducted from St. Helen Catholic Church, St. Helen, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11 am. There will be a rosary at 10:30 am on Wednesday at the church. A luncheon will follow Mass. Memorial contributions in memory of Robert are asked to be directed to the family.
