Robert J. Gans, of Horsham, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family on April 25, 2025. Robert was 72 years old, born in Philadelphia on October 23, 1952 to the late Alexander and the late Ida Gans. He is the beloved husband of 45 years to Theresa Gans (nee – Clarhaut) father of Amy ( Josh), Katie and Jessica (Stan); 1 granddaughter and grandfather of 7 grandsons. Brother of Charles and the late Edward.
Robert grew up in the Bustleton/ Krewstown section of Northeast Philadelphia. He is a graduate of George Washington High School. He worked as a Master Sheet Metal fabricator for 50 years. Robert loved fishing, listening to his Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles on the radio while enjoying a good cigar and a glass of bourbon.
Family and friends are invited to Robert's Life Celebration on Friday, May 2, 2025, viewing from 10:00 A.M - 10:50 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Rd, Horsham, PA 19044. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in Robert's memory can be made to: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
