Robert Gibson Obituary

Robert Gibson Jr, a devoted family man, proud Navy veteran, and a true Atlantic City beach bum at heart, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.
Robert honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and built a career in computer software.
Robert was the son of the late Robert Gibson Sr, and Isabell Voorhees Gibson. Robert was married to the love of his life Marion Claudia Blowes Gibson for 60 years. They went on many adventures, moving to California shortly after marriage they eventually retired in North Carolina.
He is survived by his son, Eric Gibson (Blenda Mitchell); daughters, Bobbie Jean Malcolm (Doug Malcolm), Lisa Russell (Tom Russell), and Suzanne Gibson (Shane Chalfant).
He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Allan Malcolm (Lauren Malcolm), Victoria Snead (Jared Snead), Brhianna Malcolm (Michael Stapleton), Elizabeth Hull, Ace Gibson, Autumn Russell, and Brooke Russell. Five great-granddaughters: Evangeline Snead, Lucy Snead, Eisley Snead, Poppy Stapleton, and Fiona Malcolm.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Gibson, and a son-in-law Mark Hull.
Above all, he will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, and his sharp mind that thrived in the world of technology. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Robert was happiest when he was on the water with his boat, and found his true blessing by the love of his family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October the 4th at 2:00PM at Crowe's Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Blizard and Rev. Jared Snead officiating.
