It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Robert "Bob" Guillereault, Jr., who passed away on July 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on April 21, 1943, in Biddeford, Maine, to Robert H. Guillereault, Sr. and Rose (Compagna) Guillereault. He was raised in Biddeford and graduated from St. Louis High School in the Class of 1962, where he was an accomplished baseball player.
Bob served honorably in the United States Coast Guard for a total of 39 years, including both active duty and reserves. He earned an associate's degree from the University of Southern Maine and worked for the Social Security Administration for over 25 years, retiring early. He often said that retirement was when "you stop living at work and start working at living."
Bob enjoyed traveling, reading, walking, biking, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years and love of his life, Rachel P. (Gagne) Guillereault; daughter Debra Lagueux and her husband Randy; sons Daren Guillereault and Dana Guillereault; brother Roland Guillereault and his wife Norma; sister Roxanne Fecteau; grandchildren Stacey Rumery (Craig) and Stephanie Dudley (Chris); and great-grandchildren Lillian and Connor Rumery, and Sophie Burnell.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law, Raymond Fecteau.
In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be private among family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maine Cancer Foundation at mainecancer.org.
