Mr. Robert Louis Hill passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 70 years. He was born the son of Theo and Georgia (Smith) Hill.
Robert was born on May 27, 1954 in Little Rock, Arkansas. The family relocated to Saginaw, Michigan. He was educated in the Buena Vista School System and was a graduate of Buena Vista High School. He retired from Delphi Corporation in 2008 and was a member of UAW Local 699. Robert married Beverly Ann Akins on October 12, 2017.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Beverly Ann Akins-Hill; a daughter, Katrina Morris; son, Robert Louis Hill, Jr.; step-children, Antwoine Akins and Areia Akins; grandchildren, Jasmine McNair, Jalen Bentley, Eric Sanders II, Robert Hatter-Hill, Courtney and Ta'Kiyah Hill; a host of step-grandchildren, Taurence Hill, Terrell and Travion, Lambert and Thomas West; a host of great-grandchildren; sisters, Eloise Moore, Vera Harper, Alma Miller, Virgie (Zebedee) McCall and Beverly Everette; brother, Bob Hill, Sr. (Shelly); a host of aunts and uncles; sisters-in-law, Theresa (Burley) La'Mar, Freddie Marshall and Shelly Hill; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Helga), Derrick (Lisa), Gregory (Jeptha) and Dwight Akins; a host nieces, nephews and cousins, many other relatives and friends including special friends, Maurice Jackson, Lamar Kimble, Gene, Harvey, B.B. McGlothin, Doris, Mike "Red", Gus and Percy Parham.
Mr. Robert Louis Hill was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Georgia Hill; brother, Theo Hill, Jr,; sister, Shirley Riley; brother-in-law, Robert Moore; friends, Tony Saunders, Tony Petterson and Danielle Webb.
Family hour 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2024 at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church, 2615 Williamson Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48601 with Funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Otis Washington officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
