Robert “Bob” Bryan Kimmel, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 59.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy Kimmel, of the home; his son Josh Kimmel and daughter-in-law Robin of Pennsylvania; his daughter Reona Tyler and son-in-law Austin Tyler of Midwest City; and eight treasured grandchildren: David, Sierra, Avery, Berlin, Scarlett, Jase, Ellie, and Jade. He also leaves behind two sisters, Tina and Laurie, two brothers Jeff and Bill, and countless friends who loved and admired him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vaughn Kimmel; his mother, Carol Kimmel; and his first wife, Tammy Kimmel, with whom he shared many meaningful years.

Bob proudly served in the United States Air Force and Reserves, dedicating part of his life to the service of his country. A man of many talents and passions, he found joy in woodworking, hunting, fishing, collecting coins and gemstones, and being near the water, especially the beach. But above all, his favorite place in the world was anywhere his grandchildren were, nothing brought him more joy than time spent with them, whom he loved fiercely and without limit.

Bob will be remembered for his steady presence, his generous heart, and the way he put his family first in all things. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.

A casual gathering to honor Bob’s life will be held on Monday, July 7, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Asa Smith Funeral Service; 2039 Tim Holt Drive Harrah, Oklahoma. At 4:00 p.m., military honors will be rendered with the playing of Taps and presentation of the flag. Flowers are not necessary, but your presence would mean a great deal to the family.
