Robert "Bob" Rolfson, 74, of Colman, SD, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 28, 2025 at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Colman, SD.
Robert was born on May 14, 1950 to parents, Wayne O. and Lila (Haan) Rolfson. He grew up in Sioux Falls attending Whipple Country School #88, Whittier Middle School, and graduating from Washington High School. After High School he attended a vocational-technical school in Des Moines, Iowa where he received a two-year degree in electronics. Later on, he would also receive a degree in ministry from Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota. He worked a number of jobs throughout his life, but most notably as a computer technician for Gateway Computers.
Robert enjoyed many hobbies including shooting archery with his brothers and weightlifting. He loved learning in general, but was mainly interested in learning about the inner workings and specifications of different computers. Robert loved spending time with children, especially during the holidays where he would entertain and play games with the kids. He enjoyed working on his home. Having most recently completed his basement, he began work on the second story.
He is survived by his siblings, Wayne D. (Judy) Rolfson of Sioux Falls, Mary Quissell of Brookings, James Rolfson of Sioux Falls, Christy Harvey of Casper, WY, and Larry Rolfson of Sioux Falls.
Robert was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Minnie Rolfson; twin brothers, Chester and Eisse Rolfson; parents, Wayne and Lila Rolfson; grandparents, Eisse and Millie Haan; and sister, Sandy Horstman.
