Bloomfield – Robert C. Salsich, age 96, passed away after a brief illness, on Thursday, October 9, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Constance "Connie" Salsich; three sons, Bradley (Nancy) Salsich, Jeffrey Salsich and Gregory (Helen) Salsich; four stepchildren, Tammy (Roger) Boda, Colleen Davis, Penny (David) Hastings and Blake (Suzanne) Belcher; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Jean Luzzi.
Bob was born in South Bristol and was the son of Earl W. and Edna (Owens) Salsich. He attended Canandaigua schools and was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, class of 1947. Growing up, Bob was a boy scout and later became an Eagle Scout. He was a US Army veteran and served in Korea during the war. Bob was a member of the American Legion and the Bloomfield V.F.W. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Eastman Kodak Company for 34 years, retiring in 1986. Bob collected antique tractors and would often show them at steam pageants. He enjoyed carpentry and remodeling his homes.
A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, October 25, from 2-4pm, at the East Bloomfield Fire Hall, 105 Main St., Bloomfield, NY 14469. Private Interment with military honors will be in East Bloomfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Bloomfield Fire Department, 105 Main Street, P.O. Box 246, Bloomfield, NY 14469. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomfield. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.
