Robert Spinks Obituary

Robert Edward Spinks. Jr., 67, of Laguna Vista, TX passed away on Wednesday December 4, 2024, at his residence.
Robert was a local to Port Isabel, TX and resident of Laguna Vista, TX. He was a Harley riding, sailor talking, good ol' boy that would give the shirt off his back. In his early years, he worked with his dad (Captain Jack) as a shrimper. He also worked as a roughneck in the oil field. Robert then transitioned to an a/c technician where he became a master of his trade. Everyone has their own story about how Robert fixed their a/c.
Robert was a devoted father of five: Foster, William, Harley, Michael and CJ. He had many hardships in his life, yet he still pushed to make the best of things. No matter the situation, Robert was willing to help others in a time of need, even at times when he himself was struggling.
Robert was fortunate to grow up with his four siblings: Randy, CC, Stevie and Kristine. They all had a tight bond and cared deeply for one another. His mother Joyce would call Robert every night to check on him. Robert made many friends in his lifetime, A few (George and Lisa Nesmith, (Ken Dunkum) and Doug Gonzalez were there for him during thick and thin.
Weeks before his final days, Robert and family were fortunate to have time together at a family reunion, it was awesome to see the smiles; it not only brought to Robert but to so many others in the family. Robert is the man I'm proud to call my father, and he will be greatly missed by many.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Robert "Jack" Edward Spinks, Sr.; brother, Cecil "CC" Clifford Spinks; brother, Stevie Spinks; 3 sons, Harley Spinks, Michael Spinks, ad Clifford "CJ" Jon Spinks.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Alice Joyce Touchet; son, William Spinks; daughter-in-law Joanie Spinks; grandson, Jackson Spinks; brother, Randy Spinks; sister-in-law, Candy Spinks; sister, Kristine Greenwade; brother-in-law, Johnny Greenwade; and sister-in-law, Lisa Spinks. In addition, Robert is survived by numerous relatives: Arthur, Olita, Jana, Jessica, Annie, Stevie, Karin, Jose, Jennifer, Jeremy; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
