Crawford Funeral and Cremation Service - OxfordRobert “Bob” L. Waller Sr., age 68 of Oxford (Deep Lake) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Bob was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on December 19, 1956 to Albert and Edna (Miller) Waller. He graduated from Duke High School in Duke, OK in 1974 and became an diesel mechanic. Bob followed family to Wisconsin in the early 1990’s and worked for many years as a mechanic for Peterson Produce. On June 30, 2001 he was united in marriage to Susan Gorr in Montello and a short time later they relocated to their current home near Deep Lake.
Bob was most recently employed at the Wisconsin Dells Walmart as a maintenance person. He loved to work with his hands and could fix just about anything. Bob enjoyed fishing and always looked forward to the next camping trip. He will be fondly remembered for being a good husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Bob is survived by his wife of 24 years, Susan and two children: Rebecca (Jon) Waller of Juneau and Robert Jr. of New Lisbon as well as five grandchildren: Morgan (Justin), Michael (Kaitie), Jordan (Carmen), Mariah and Maicol. He is also survived by two brothers: Albert and Grady (Joyce) as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Cindy Gorr, Butch (Dawn) Gorr, Jeanette Gorr, Steve Bennett, Todd (Debbie) Gorr and Jenifer (Andy) Linendoll. Bob is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws: Jerry and Donna Gorr, brother, Billy, brother-in-law, Brian Gorr, sister-in-law, Beth Bennett, nephew, Troy Gorr and infant great-nephew, Jacob.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at The Oxford Pub N Grub, 848 E. Ormsby Street, Oxford.
The family would like to thank Autumn from My Choice, St. Croix Hospice and The WI Rapids Cancer Center for all their compassion and care.
