Roberta Majewski Obituary

Roberta Majewski, 86, resident of Springfield since 1962, passed away on June 24, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. James the Apostle Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave. in Springfield, on Saturday, June 28th at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum in East Hanover. Visiting hours at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., also in Springfield, will be on Friday, June 27th from 6 to 8pm.
Born and raised in Irvington, the daughter of Rocco and Lillian (Stanton) Cantlupe, Roberta was a graduate of West Side High School in 1956. She later earned a Bachelor's in Science in Management Science from Kean College. Roberta was an accountant for Berkeley Hardware in Berkeley Heights, and was the Treasurer for the family business. An active parishioner at St. James, she sang in the choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Roberta was also a member of the Springfield Seniors and the New Beginnings Senior Group and enjoyed travel and horse races at Saratoga.
Roberta was the beloved mother of Ronald Majewski and his wife, Patricia. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughters, Amanda Burrofato and her husband John, Shannon Majewski, and Dana Majewski, and great granddaughter, Amelia Burrofato.
