Roberta "Robbie" Leigh Moore
February 26, 1951 – May 29, 2025
Roberta "Robbie" Leigh Moore passed away in her home on Thursday, May 29, 2025. She was 74 years old.
Born on February 26, 1951, Robbie was a lifelong listener, writer, and giver whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bob and Helen Crawford and the treasured granddaughter of Jack and Cecile Hickman and Kenneth and Roma Crawford. Robbie was a 1969 graduate of Princeton High School and remained deeply rooted in the Princeton community all her life.
Robbie is survived by her loving sisters, Jacci Kelly (Mike) and Deborah Crawford, whom she fondly referred to as her "horse-riding sister." She was a proud and devoted aunt to Kellen Hartley, Mark Pickerel (Kayla), with great-nephew Dominique; and to Matthew and Tracy Pickerel, with great-nephews Parker and Miles. She was also a cherished niece to Ninajane Hickman, Batista Brantley (Jim), and Donna May (Bob).
For over 40 years, Robbie worked at the U.S. Small Business Administration, where her colleagues-especially the attorneys-regularly turned to her for guidance on their written work. Her natural gift for the written word was rivaled only by her gift for compassion. She remembered birthdays, small details, and meaningful moments in others' lives. If you mentioned your mother loved gooseberry pie, Robbie would likely show up with one. She listened, remembered, and cared-deeply.
Robbie had an encyclopedic memory when it came to the people of Princeton and the surrounding area. If you needed to know someone's name-or their family, or their story-Robbie knew. She held the threads of the community in her heart, quietly weaving a tapestry of connection, love, and loyalty.
She will be remembered most for her thoughtfulness, her gentle heart, and the way she made people feel truly seen and valued. Robbie was a quiet force of goodness in the world, and her loss will be felt profoundly by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Roberson Funeral Home, 305 North Broadway, Princeton, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robbie's memory to the Mercer County Library, Princeton, Missouri in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 316, Princeton, MO 64673. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
Rest in peace, dear Sister. Your life was a gift, and your memory will forever be a blessing in our hearts.

I'm so, so sorry to hear of Robbie's passing. We connected through my Aunt, Gene Taylor, and became good friends. Robbie was the most thoughtful and loving person I've ever known, and she will so missed.
