Rodney Dale Brents, 60, of Liberty, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Baytown, Texas.
Rodney was born April 23, 1964, in Liberty, Texas, to parents; Thomas Boyd and Jewel Marie Perkins Brents, and has been a lifelong resident of Liberty. He was a graduate of Liberty High School and member of Heights Baptist Church. He was one of seven children in a family with two sets of twins, with him being a part of the youngest set of twins.
Rodney was a very kind-hearted person. He was strong willed, but a man of few words. Throughout his life, he let his actions speak for him. In his youth, he was very athletic. As an adult, he was very compassionate. He helped his mother as a caregiver for his dad and then was one of the primary caregivers for his mother. He was generous to friends in need, helping them by using whatever he had. Animals also had no better friend than Rodney, as he took in cats and dogs that needed a safe place. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Colleene Adair Brents-McCoy and Tommie Yvonne Brents-Rodgers, and brother: Jerry Franklin "Todie" Brents. He is survived by his brothers: Rockney Leon Brents, Stephen Boyd Brents and wife Margaret Ann, and Jeffery Loyd Brents and wife Lee Ann, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date, under the direction of Allison Funeral Service in Liberty.
