Roger Eldon Ferg passed away on June 26, 2025, in Kearneysville, near his home in Charles Town, West Virginia. Born on March 9, 1944, in Baldwin, Wisconsin, Roger's journey through life was marked by a deep dedication to his family, his work, and his country. When Roger was younger, he worked on some farms in the Roberts area, first on Bill and Bev Gillis’s farm and later on, the Kamm family farm. Even after he left farming, he always loved the farming and dairy industry.
Roger, a proud veteran of the United States Army, demonstrated his unwavering commitment to service before embarking on a fulfilling career as an Aircraft Aviation Technician with Signature Flight Support. Not one to shy away from hard work, he was known among his colleagues as a diligent worker who poured his heart into every task.
Roger had a zest for life that was infectious. A true sports enthusiast, he was a die-hard fan of football, and had several favorite teams. The excitement of a game, the thrill music during a country concert, or a quiet night at the movies were all moments he cherished and shared with those he loved.
As we reflect on Roger's life, we remember a man who was always informed about current events and sports. He also enjoyed yardwork.
