Roger Dale Hill departed this world on September 28, 2025, at his residence in Marlow, Oklahoma, after a life rich with laughter, affection, and unwavering support for the Oklahoma Sooners. Born on August 26, 1946, in Galveston, Texas, to the late Vergil and Almarie (Rodgers) Hill, Roger's journey was one marked by love, joy, and kindness.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, between the hours of 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. With family meeting friends and family between the hours of 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Roger graduated from Marlow High School in 1966, where he established lifelong friendships and embraced the values that would guide him throughout his life. His career took him on the open roads as a dedicated truck driver for PPG Glass, skillfully hauling sand across Texas. However, his heart was never far from his roots in Oklahoma, and he returned to Marlow, the community that he adored and which adored him in return.

Friends and family fondly remember Roger's passion for golf, a sport he pursued with enthusiasm, particularly at Falcon Head Golf Course. His love for the game was only matched by his devotion to the Oklahoma Sooners, an avid fan, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team.

Roger was the epitome of a family man, deeply loving and infinitely kind, with a sense of humor that brightened every gathering. He is survived by a family who adored him: his daughter April Young and her husband John of Marlow; grandchildren Aaron Young of Yukon, Sean Young and his wife Loren of Duncan; and great-grandchild Amira Young, who lit up his life with joy. His love extended to his siblings, Rodney Hill of Altus, Linda Lessig, and Beth Brown, both of Marlow, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law LaRoyce Brown.
