Roger Gordon Reeves, age 77, of College Place, Washington, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. Born on April 5, 1948, in Pendleton, Oregon, Roger was the beloved son of Orville and Ivy Reeves.
Roger faced life's challenges with quiet courage and unwavering strength, living with a disability that shaped his journey but never defined him. He was blessed with parents who embraced his needs and surrounded him with love. After their passing, Roger was cared for by family who ensured his life remained full of dignity, warmth, and connection.
Roger worked at Harris Pine Mills, Red Lion Resort and the Senior Center in Pendleton.
For a short period of time, he lived with his Uncle Arthur and Aunt Judy, who introduced him to new experiences and provided a nurturing home. Later, his Aunt Cecile became his dedicated caregiver during a time when Roger enjoyed a measure of independence. For the past 15 years, following surgery that required around-the-clock care, Roger made his home at a nursing facility in College Place, Washington.
Throughout his life, Roger was surrounded by a devoted extended family. His Aunt Cecile and cousins Renita and Doug, who lived nearby, made sure he always had what he needed-and most importantly, that he never felt alone. Their love and attention were a constant source of comfort.
Roger is survived by his sister Judy of Newport, Oregon; his nieces Candeise Wall, Jenifer Griffin, and Wendy Knudson; and many relatives who held him close in their hearts. His life was a testament to resilience, grace, and the power of family love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
