James Ronald Johnson, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 21, 2025. He was known by family and friends as "Ron", "Ronnie" and "Ron Jon". Ron served his country in the U.S. Air National Guard. He was a mechanical engineer and assistant unit operator for TVA at Browns Ferry, Sequoyah and Watts Bar. Ron loved his family and spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Frances Johnson; brother, Mark Johnson and son, Tony Johnson.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Sue Johnson; son, Eric Johnson (Mandy); grandchildren, Julia, Hannah and Ansley Johnson; sister, Janice Vincent (Bobby); brother, Dewayne Johnson (Tina); several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Services will be on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with Pastor Darrell Winters officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
