Ronald Joseph Lubka, 71, of Maplewood, NJ, passed away quietly on June 30, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd. in Chatham on Tuesday, July 8th at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
Born in Newark, the son of Stanley and Regina (Niemczyk) Lubka, Ronald was raised in Maplewood and graduated from Columbia High School in 1972. He had also attended Seton Hall University and further his studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Ronald began his career at the Prudential Insurance Company in Newark, before venturing on his own. After working in the insurance industry, Ron continued to work for many years in the maintenance and grounds department for the Irvington Board of Education. After retiring, Ron enjoyed getting a morning coffee and newspapers at his local coffee shop. Ronald was fond of baseball, including seeing a local Mets game. Most of all, Ron enjoyed reading, pets, and loved all genres of music, but especially jazz.
Ronald was the beloved brother of Raymond N. Lubka and Regina "Gina" Reilly and her husband, the late Thomas P. Reilly, and "Einstein", the family dog. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ronald may be made to The American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
