Ronald Dean Pollard, 85, of Waverly, Ohio passed Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Ronald was born September 18, 1939, in Washington Court House, Ohio, the son of the late Jesse Pollard, and Lois Irene (Dewitt) Pollard. On February 17, 1962, he was united in marriage to his wife of sixty-three years, Mary Ruth (Hardin) Pollard who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Timothy (Beth) Pollard, and Ted (Becky) Pollard; three daughters, Tammy (Robert) Grooms, Tina (Jerry) Cadenhead, and Treva (Scott Wiles) Tomlin; nine grandchildren, Hannah (Ethan) Gardner, Leslie Day, Markie (LeDawna) Day, Anita Casto, Chris Tomlin, Michelle Tomlin, Holly Tomlin, Spencer (Anna Jordan) Pollard, and Mason Pollard; thirteen great grandchildren; three siblings, Bernice Rhoads, Sue Herfel, and Marilyn Hart; and a special cousin, Bruce (Alice) Pollard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William Pollard, and Paul Pollard; and a sister, Betty Jean Kiser.
Ronald worked as a carpenter out of the Carpenter's Union Local 457 for Setterlin/RWS Construction Co. He attended Rubyville Community Church. He enjoyed collecting antique tractors and gardening.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Cal Ray Evans, and Brian Baer officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the beginning of the service on Saturday.
