God called home a man who devoted his life to working the land and to the cattle that grazed there. He loved his family, his Stuart name. He wanted to know the clan that came before him and those who walked in life with him. He liked knowing the cloth of his family lines. He also loved the quiet rustics of the country, home in the small town of Pawhuska, home in the faith of the catholic church, home in his community circles of cowboys, neighbors, taco Tuesday friends, Elks Lodge, Pawhuskans, veterans, friends, and family.

Ronald Gene Stuart, Sr., born July 8th, 1935, passed away in comfort and peace on Friday, June 20th, 2025. He was ready. It was a beautiful day, full of blue skies and sunshine. It was the last day of spring.

During his final days, he repeated that he loved all his children; Suzanne (Stuart) Plihal, Ronald Gene Stuart, Jr., Douglas A. Stuart, Bradley J. Stuart, and Andrew J. Stuart. He had 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He also loved his wife, Kathy (Ware) Stuart. She brought him peace, quiet strength, happiness, and his daily care in the end. He is survived by his sister Thelma (Stuart) Stevens and his brother Douglas G. Stuart. And, he is survived by many in his Stuart family.

Those who know Ron, knew exactly who he was. He was someone who brought his unique personality to the world, one that made him easy to remember. He lived in a time and age where his handshake was the unbreakable signature on a contract, and your reputation was your brand and stock. He was also someone who would rather give his cow away than profit from one that didn't belong to him. He typically wore worn-in jeans, pearl snapped cowboy shirts, a cap, and dirty, worn boots that spoke loudly of his work. He was simple. If you were in the room, he didn't care what you wore, but he wanted to know your name and where you came from. His work was never finished and had many fences that always needed to be mended.

This is the last trip down country road #4230 (f.k.a., Red Eagle Route), past Pappin Cemetery, past your mailbox, past the Chambers place, across the cattle guard to your land. Your land where the 9S cattle are grazing, the deer and turkey roam, and Sand Creek runs. Across that final cattle guard was your home. Your memory lives there at the end of that dirt road, where the sun rises and sets. Be at peace. You were loved and will be missed by many.

Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come before you on bent knee to lift and pray for your humbly departed. We are grateful for all the blessings on Ron's life. We are especially grateful for your amazing love, forgiveness, and comfort found in the Grace of Your plan, Your timing Your work on the cross. In Jesus, we have the Way, the Truth, and the Life. May your light shine. In your great name, Amen.

Ron, your body was blessed with friends and family. You were blessed with kisses and tears. You were blessed in love.

Also, the immediate family would like to express our deepest thanks to prayers given. We also want to thank all family and friends for their presence in Ron's life. Thank you to the care givers. Thank you to Pawhuska. Thank you to the Ware family for all the love and support. Thank you to so many who are unnamed. You blessed his life, his ranch, his home.

In his last days, as a faithful catholic, he received the Anointing of the Sick. He died in God's love and friendship.

Ron was a dear friend and a fellow graduate of the class of 1953 from Pawhuska High School. We kept the same officers for over 50 years, and Ron was always one of the first to register for a reunion. Bill Moyer died recently, and I am the only remaining class officer. I am grateful for the friendship shared with Ron . Montie Campbell
